General Information

Ignacio Zaragoza Elementary School is named in honor of the Mexican General Ignacio Zaragoza. General Zaragoza is best known for his defeat of invading French forces in the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862 (Cinco de Mayo). Our school represents many of the same character traits as General Zaragoza. Our students and faculty are tenacious, full of high spirits, and dedicated to high standards for all. We are well disciplined and well educated. Students and staff alike are learning to enhance our leadership capacity at all levels.

 

We strive to create a learning community where families, students, and educators collaborate to develop successful college- and career-bound students. Our high levels of instructional and academic goals were developed to nurture the relationships with our community of parents, students, and professionals.
